I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, since this is the 'release without testing' era.glares at DE:MD' To be honest, they likely wanted to make sure people could actually get to experience these bugs by being able to start the DLC over much else. That being said, I do expect 1.7.16 in the next few days, so we'll need another F4SE update. Originally posted by:No fix for rainbow textures with AMD cards (R9 200, R9 300, RX 400.). Aug 3, 2016 - Bethesda has released the Fallout 4 beta patch 1.7 for PC users who can now download it through Steam and give their valuable feedback.
A temp fix is to Reduce draw distances of objects and grass (you can leave items and enemies draw distance maxed) and set textures and distant objects quality to medium or high (better medium) and rainbow textures wont appear anymore. Sometimes rarely after 5 hrs of gameplay yes i know that it might be painful to reduce quality but. Its either eye candy or rainbow textures take your pick. And once again it happens Fallout 4 Script Extender is broken once again by a little 50 mb update called 1.7.10 for everyone that had this happen again the best thing you can do is go into setting and limit your download time to one hr a day for all updates and try and go into the fallout settings and try to limit the game to only update when its lunch though steam and use the nexus mod manager to start the game though the script extender only but even if u do that steam has a bad habbit of not saving your settings or just going back and overwriteing your settings. Steam steamapps common Fallout 4 If you do, make a copy of your current Fallout4.exe—just to be safe—and rename the Fallout4.exe.bak to Fallout4.exe. If you don't, make a copy of your current Fallout4.exe—just to be safe—and download a tool to change the property of the Fallout 4 Executable from 1.7.10 to 1.7.9. ResEdit Resource Editor - free resource editor for Win32 - this editor allows your to edit properties of an executable file. Tryed using this program it is only doing half the job i cant get it to edit the file version and product version under the general information section it keeps resetting it back to 1,7,10,0.
Originally posted by:I absolutely love Bethesda games but their programmers are pretty clueless. There is no need for a nearly year old game to be getting a patch every week. Love to see bugs fixes, changes, and DLC support updates released, but they shouldnt be happening weekly thats just stupid. Every two weeks to a month would be a much more reasonable release schedule and would allow them more time to test and address more issues without forcing their entire community to download updates and to break the modding community for some of the most innovative mods on a weekly basis.
Would you mind telling that to Rockstar then? It's annoying that F4 updates need a F4SE update, but Rockstar have gone out of their way to make it so you can't use single player mods to load multiplayer cars in single player. Can anyone remember a Fallout game, or even the elder Scrolls games that ever worked, or sent us on a journey, a long journey of breakages, crashes, disappointment because we couldn't play them that day, what a pile of junk they are, so much jumk that even today, people are still playing Skyrim (Me on my 7th round), New Vegas (6th). This is the Fallout journey, has been since I remembered the days of Fallout itself. Its a community game, one where people put a lot of their time (for free) to expand it for us, make it replayable over and over, so it will break, go wrong and so on, Bethesda will update, but you will replay (Sorry for the real Fallout fans only) For me my only complaint is I can't find the Water of Eternal Life, or Mind Control, can't let Bethasda stop making them and if they don't, I need to live forever.
My advise, sit back, wait and then ENJOY, stop whinning, have a break, have a kitkat.
